Practicing with my new macro lens! It is not easy! It took ages to get this shot while lying prostrate on the grass in my garden and waiting for the wind to die down. I can see this is going to be very challenging!

The images of The Wizard of Oz are actually photos. Every year an amalgam of corporations host an affair in Atlanta called "The Next Cool Thing". It's almost like Halloween for grownups. Film companies put promotional sets on display and share a little history behind the filming. Some attendees dressin costume for the occasion. It's a photographer's paradise! In these two photos you asked about, the models posed for passing photogs. I thought because the settings were surreal, so should my photos of them. I used the plug-in, Color EFX-Pro to create the overlay. Just having fun. See some of my earlier images from last year entitled THE NEXT COOL THING.

- Hi Gaye, I love hearing the stories behind the photos. It shows the photographer has some measure of passion for the subject and I gain a little knowledge as an added gift. I hesitate when some one asks if I'm a pro photographer. I love photography and have been asked to perform some professional assignments. Here at EA I view the works of others and see where I need to step up my game. I relocated from New York City to a small one-horse town in Georgia (long story) where the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful every day no matter the weather. Still looking for that perfect shot.
