Hey Freelance Marketers
Has anyone used Google Adwords at all--and if so, did you have luck doing so? Did you do it yourself, or work with an expert? What was your experience like?

Great, thanks John! It seems Adwords is one of those things where on one hand, it's definitely "learnable" with books and websites to give you some training, but on the other hand it could be a very expensive way to do trial and error!

I have definitely focused on the organic optimization more than anything else--and that does help a lot. It's cool that you've experimented, and super cool that you promote the Emancipated Artist on your own website too!
